RAMAH SHEYAB

Ramah Sheyab is a Jordanian Language Studies student at the University of Jordan. Ramah is a fond lover of language and has pursued a career in translation. Ramah Sheyab is experienced and certified in both general and Legal fields.

Miss Sheyab previously worked in various educational empowerment programs, the first being World Canvas, an organization that provides self discovery programs for youth to help them understand themselves, gain people skills, and make choices influenced by the environment around them in order to formulate calculated choices for future careers.

After attending the program she decided to volunteer a total of fifty hours, helping students outside her sector, who faced the same struggles she did. Being completely fluent in both languages Miss Sheyab organized several speaking classes for people of multiple nationalities, helping her students gain conversational skills in whichever of these two languages they desired.

Growing up in a family with a background in law practice, Sheyab has always had a passion for politics. Ramah participated in multiple national MUNs and was graciously awarded a scholarship to participate in the United Nations CWMUN in New York. She has always been a vigorous activist, particularly catering to Palestinian human rights and the Syrian revolution. Ramah Sheyab humbly takes personal responsibility to speak up for those who can’t.

Ramah Sheyab is an advocate of equality, dreaming to eliminate the injustice that occurs in the Levant and Arab world. Ramah is religiously active in her community. Miss Sheyab strongly supports the Palestinian movement, from publishing and translating news of Palestinian life under the Israeli occupation to rigorously attending social movements.
